As a passionate baker, my quest for the ultimate pizza dough recipe was nothing short of an adventure. What truly stole the show was the moment my friends and family took their first bites of this golden-crusted masterpiece. Their delighted expressions and the unanimous chorus of 'Mmm's' affirmed that this recipe was more than just dough—it was a portal to shared moments of happiness and indulgence. Homestyle Pizza


Ingredients

  • 7 gr (1 packet) active dry yeast

  • 360 ml (1 ½ cups) warm water (110°F/45°C)

  • 12 gr granulated sugar

  • 420 gr all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting

  • 30 ml extra virgin oil

  • 10 grams salt



Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until the yeast is foamy.

  2. Add the flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough begins to form.

  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  4. Form the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl, turning it to coat with oil. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air.

  6. Divide the dough into two equal portions if making two medium-sized pizzas, or leave it whole for one large pizza.

  7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  8. Top with your favourite sauce, cheese, and toppings, then bake according to your pizza recipe's instructions. Enjoy your homemade pizza!
